Commission is paid on the first payment of each customer you refer, calculated on what they actually pay — so a yearly plan pays you the yearly commission, and any discount they used is reflected in both directions. Referrals are credited to the first partner who sent them.

Your commission is credited when your referral makes their first payment. It's held for 30 days first — that's the refund window, and paying out before it closes would mean asking for money back if the customer cancels. After that it moves to "ready to pay", and once your ready-to-pay balance reaches US$100 we settle it. Below $100 it simply rolls over to the next payout.

Attribution is set when they create their workspace, and the first partner to introduce a customer keeps them permanently — a later link can't take the credit. Within a single browsing session your code follows the visitor around the site, so they can arrive on your link, read the pricing page and still sign up as your referral.
